FAQ

  • WHAT IS A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

A Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, membership organisation dedicated to supporting its members and improving the business climate and quality of living within its geographic territory. A Chamber of Commerce is not a department or agency of the Government (local or national), but it will work in partnership with them, as well as other bodies/organisations representing other sections of the business community or civic society, to further the interests of its members and promote a stronger economy that creates more opportunities for a fulfilling and rewarding life for local people.

  • HOW DOES MY ORGANISATION BENEFIT FROM JOINING A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

Every member is different and will, therefore, benefit in different ways because a Chamber of Commerce offers a broad range of services and products from which individual members can choose. Any member that takes the time to engage and participate can benefit: whether it is a large company with global ambitions, or a small start-up business seeking to break into local markets; whether it is a well-established social enterprise or a new voluntary organisation; whether it wants to meet potential customers or learn from existing businesses; whether its priority is its own medium-term success or the long-term prosperity of its home town.

  • WHAT NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WILL I ENJOY?

There will always be ample networking opportunities for members who take the time to attend events and meet fellow members.  European-Arab Chamber of Commerce always builds some networking time into its events.

  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE A MEMBER?

This is dependent on the level of membership you decide to choose, but what we can tell you is that you will get value for money no matter how much your membership costs. You can find out here.

  • CAN I ATTEND AN EVENT AS A NON-MEMBER?

There will be some events that you have to be a member to be eligible to attend but some that you can attend even if you are not a member (but you will pay more).
